Thomas (Waterfront Charm on Lake Sunapee - September 2024)

We were a family (three generations) of 7 and truly enjoyed our time at the house. The location was fantastic, with great views. The hosts were spectacular and went above and beyond. Having them provide kayaks and paddle boards was effortless, and they were incredibly responsive. One example: the master bedroom mattress was extremely hard, and I texted that comment to them, expecting nothing really. I was shocked when later that morning, I got a notification that the hosts were buying a new mattress and delivering it that afternoon. Incredible! And very comfortable it was. All in all, it was a short but very memorable stay, and we will undoubtedly return in the future. Thank you, Relax and Company!

Fantastic house and amazing location on Lake Sunapee! We LOVED almost everything about this house. The house itself is beautiful and well stocked with just about everything you need. Right away we felt at home. We have stayed in about 7 other houses on Lake Sunapee over the last 17 years (some houses multiple times) and we absolutely loved the location of this house on the Lake. It was peaceful, the views of the islands were amazing, you can see 2 of the 3 lighthouses and we could see Birch Point which has special meaning to my husband (a long family history). We were able to kayak to Birch Point multiple times and go in between the islands. It’s a short drive to Sunapee Harbor (shops, dining, drinks, tours, etc.) and Mount Sunapee (hiking, chairlift). We loved having the paddle board and kayaks as well as the hot tub and the multiple sitting locations, especially the couch! We didn’t use the firepit, but maybe next time. We highly recommend staying here and we will return! 5 STARS!

The entire process with the rental of the home was a breeze. Everything from check in to out was made as easy and comfortable as possible. There was not one item overlooked, right down to qtips and cotton balls. The home was lovely and comfortable. Parking was a little tight, especially for 3 cars. We were there for family gathering and Memorial Celebration for my sister. The deck was large enough and afforded a beautiful backdrop of the lake and mountains to toast her journey! Thank you for sharing your home and giving us a wonderful experience.

We are pleased to leave a review of our Valhalla stay. As first time Relax & Co. vacation renters, we believe agents Cory and Samantha were very responsive to our questions and needs. In May they facilitated an exterior tour of the property so we could become better acquainted with the location and property history and amenities. They assisted our son-in-law as he wished to arrange for a boat rental. They were very courteous and informative. We were made to feel welcome and appreciated during our stay. We found the kitchen well equipped and the bedding comfortable. Even the one shower was not a problem, the lake was warm! Valhalla shines with family history yet has had many modern updates. During our stay we corresponded with Samantha a couple of times, she shared her cell number. We requested additional kitchen cleaning supplies, to notify of a fan that no longer worked, report power outage from storm, notify of leak in the refrigerator water supply line and primary bedroom window crank arm broken upon our arrival. Each time there was a thoughtful conversation and when able to the situation was remedied. Cleaning supplies delivered, fan old and left for owners, messaged us power outage information from power company, disconnected water supply to refrigerator, leak stopped and left window open as it had been open prior to our arrival.
